October 2013 marked the start of a beautiful partnership between Elevator and Kopparberg SA. Since then Kopparberg’s brand awareness and sales have grown exponentially by means of social media and direct communication marketing done through Elevator.

Elevator has been fortunate enough to run an ongoing national campaign for Kopparberg across 5 provinces on a weekly basis. We do numerous on-trade (restaurants, bars & markets) and off-trade (bottle stores) activations at various outlets with the objective being to raise awareness of the brand and to push sales. By using both male and female brand ambassadors of the highest quality we have managed to accomplish what we had set out to achieve. As a partnership Elevatorvides Kopparberg SA with the highest level of trust and reliability.

Elevator was fortunate enough to be involved with the BlackBerry brand through our client Conceptspark. We were tasked with catering for the event and creating a premium ambience which would best suit the brand, with our main objective being, to deliver great quality within a very short turnaround time.

BlackBerry has been a global leader in the industry for many years and BlackBerry revolutionized the mobile industry when it was introduced in 1999. BlackBerry releases devices which are of great quality, technology, look and cost effectiveness, with their aim being to "inspire the success of our millions of customers around the world by continuously pushing the boundaries of mobile experiences".

The event was hosted at the Taj Hotel in Cape Town which matched the exclusivity and style of the event. Knowing the success of the brand, we were just to happy to be a part of the overall experience. We wish we could go into more detail about what BlackBerry was up to, but we assure you that when all is revealed, you will not be disappointed.

2013 was a truly memorable year, with the Johannesburg International Motor Show 2013 again attracting the masses from all over the world.

Elevator was fortunate enough to be involved with the premium Lexus brand, which offers "sophistication, performance, safety and refinement - the ideals of contemparary luxury". This set build was always going to be one that would turn heads, with its sleek and classy design housed with the beautiful luxury Lexus vehicles obviously stealing the limelight, matched by the premium appeal of our stunning Lexus promotional models.

This event was a great success and we were able obtain the clients objectives. Our staff went through intensive screening processes before being selected by client to continue with a rigorous training, the result being, well educated premium promotional models becoming Lexus brand custodians.

Sir Juice, for the first time, had trusted someone from outside the company to handle their direct communication at the Good Food and Wine show. This was an achievement for us at Elevator as it confirmed that we had been doing a great job on their in-store promotional campaign thus far. Sir Juice is a brand we are incredibly proud to represent and having the opportunity to man their stand was exciting not only for us but for our promoters as well.

Week 6 of the FNB Varsity Cup has seen Maties continue their dominance of this year's cup.  They have now played six matches and are still unbeaten in the tournament with their Monday night win against Wits, 48 - 21.  Cell C Ambassadors were in full force, encouraging the crowds to be involved in proceedings and of course, giving the brand a punt where applicable.

Gordons Gin Campaign

Usually when I hear of “Gordon’s Dry Gin” my mind automatically reverts to an image of local political satire comic ‘Madam & Eve’s’ little older Mother Abigail Anderson with  “Gin & Tonic” in hand. I’ve always associated the drink to an older generation alcoholic beverage or alternatively a very good hangover cure. 

ABSA - Design Indaba 2013

The Democratic Republic of Design (DRD), for Absa the Design Indaba 2013 was nothing less than a superb and fascinating way to connect all the aspects of the annual Design Indaba together. From the guest speakers, to the listeners – everyone was able to take part due to the Indaba's interactive format. Held at the CTICC, ABSA, being a headline sponsor invented an ingenious Ipad application, which credited participators in the event with a virtual currency, which increased with every tweet, Facebook post and “like” that they received when mentioning the DRD on any of the social networks. By mentioning the DRD, participators earned virtual currency that allowed them to purchase one of the amazing gifts on offer at the Indaba.  This was a reward for spreading the ‘virtual DRD love’.

On the 9th and 10th of May, the Brandy Fusion Expo was born in Cape Town.  Elevator ambassadors had the pleasure of working on Distell's premium brands including: Klipdrift Export, Klipdrift Premium, Bisquit Cognac, Richelieu, Collisons, Fish Eagle and the Fine Brandy by Design stands.

The Brandy Fusion festival portrays brandy in South Africa as the mature, premium and sophisticated drink of choice.  Consumers are able to enjoy the refined and superior tastes of Premium South African Brandies either 'on the rocks' or in a cocktail of choice!

Jameson First Shot – Easily one of the most exclusive events in South Africa, boasting an impressive array of star studded guests and the one and only Kevin Spacey.

Kevin Spacey has featured in some of the most phenomenal Hollywood blockbusters to hit the scene including, Seven, The Usual Suspects, American Beauty and plenty more. Kevin has since taken an interest in South Africa and the Premium brand Jameson, and together they have created a platform for all inspiring film makers.

This year saw Hanneke Schutte winning with the short film Saving Norman, held at Shine Studios in Johannesburg.
